BebopBee secures $4million funding

The funding will be used to develop mobile game brands promoting real-world connections.

BebopBee, a game development studio dedicated to creating mobile game brands that foster real-world connections, announced today the completion of a $4 million funding round. Prominent investors provided the funding, including BITKRAFT Ventures, Courtside Ventures, Andover, and GOAL Ventures. Angel investors, including Akın Babayiğit, Co-Founder of TripleDot Studios, Affan Butt, Founding Partner at, and Charles Chapman, Founder of First Touch Games, participated in the funding round. The capital infusion will be utilized to expand the player base and strengthen the Data Science and Creative Marketing teams, to deliver exceptional experiences to the audience.

Founded by industry veterans Rajeev Nagpal and Cristian Zanier, who have previously worked at TinyCo, Zynga, and Jam City, BebopBee is fully dedicated to their flagship title, Travel Crush. Travel Crush, formerly known as “What a Wonderful World,” brings people together from different cultures and locations, introducing players to a new global destination each month. For instance, the upcoming release, “Mayor’s League” will enable players to compete in the vibrant city of Amsterdam. BebopBee is also proud to introduce social features such as Team Chat, offering real-time text translations, ice-breakers, and sharing cultural insights.

Scott Rupp, Founding General Partner at BITKRAFT Ventures, commented on their continued support, stating:

The CEO of BebopBee, Rajeev Nagpal, articulated the company’s vision, emphasizing their commitment to crafting enduring intellectual properties that will captivate and delight players for years to come.

In conjunction with the funding, BebopBee has announced the addition of key talent to its Data Science, LiveOps, Marketing, and Community teams. Furthermore, BebopBee welcomes Andrew Stalbow, former co-founder and CEO of Seriously, as an advisor. Seriously was acquired by Playtika in 2019. Andrew possesses prior experience from his roles at Rovio, the creators of Angry Birds, and 20th Century Fox, where he spearheaded the mobile business for the TV and film studio.
