BlueStacks has announced a new tool for ‘modding’ and game modding needs, which are loved by gamers who are keen on development. Mobile games can now be easily modded thanks to Bluestacks Creator Studio & Creator Hub.

Thanks to the new toolset, mobile games developed with Cocos, Unity, and Unreal Engine can be modified. BlueStacks, which allows us to play mobile games on different platforms, will now also allow us to mod these games.

BlueStacks CEO Rosen Sharma says that games played via cloud streaming can now be modded. As you know, for a game to be modded, you must be able to access the game files, and the game must allow it. The local files of the games we play with the cloud streaming method are stored on another computer. For this reason, players do not have the opportunity to mod such games.

These new systems will also be possible to mod cloud games. Thanks to BlueStacks Creator Studio and Creator Hub, developers will be able to share their mobile game modifications with other developers. Thus, mod options that we frequently encounter in PC games will become accessible for mobile games over time.

Jonathan Fermin from Aevatrex comments on these developments:

“Popular PC games can have tens of thousands of mods created for them. However, modding was not possible for mobile games until now. With BlueStacks mobile game modding, there are endless possibilities. One of my favorite mods is where a dancing Mr. Bean shows up at the victory event in the Lords Mobile game.”

This innovative move of BlueStacks can significantly affect the mobile game industry. The players need to be able to make customizations according to their wishes. Mods are one of the reasons why many games that we are familiar with in the PC game industry have a long life. Mods created by the community and shared with other players make games both longer-lasting and more fun.
