The Bright Gambit Microfund is aimed at small indie developer teams or solo developers. It will provide them with mentorship from industry experts and with a fund of up to $10k per game.

The Bright Gambit Microfund is a worldwide initiative, so anyone can apply. The project will prioritize projects where the funding amount is more likely to make a significant difference, and the requirements for applications are as such; the project must be a game, there must be a playable build, and a commitment to finish the project must be made.

Besides funding, the Microfund’s aim is to help indie game creators to get market experience and to become sustainable, and to make sure every dev receiving support also has access to mentorship. The fund’s goal is to support game development outside of industry hubs, by offering a supportive environment to game creators who wouldn’t otherwise have a chance to bring their games to life.

The Microfund is supported and done in partnership with Games Industry Africa.

The application can be found here, and a FAQ here.
