Diablo Immortal earned Blizzard $49 million with 10 million downloads in its first month, as reported by Mobilegamer.biz’s Neil.

Diablo Immortal, the mobile version of Diablo, a series loved by PC players, was released last month. The game, which made a significant impact with its release, managed to satisfy the users in general, although some circles criticized it.

As a result of this satisfaction, the game earned almost five times the number of downloads. In addition, the game dominated the top charts with 1.32 million downloads three days after its release.

According to data provided by Appmagic and taken into account by Neil, the game earned $2.4 million on its 9th day of release.

These numbers are far behind Genshin Impact, Diablo Immortal’s biggest rival among RPG mobile games. According to the data provided by Sensor Tower, Genshin Impact had a massive revenue of $245 million in its first month. Gacha-based games had such incredible success that it was a big event then.

Neil also stated that the data provided by Appmagic covers only developer revenues. In other words, these numbers are based on the amount directly in the developer’s pocket, apart from the 30% cut from Google and Apple.

Recently, Google announced a $90 million fund for developers who earn less than $2 million. Apple has not yet made a similar move.

Large marketplaces such as the Play Store and App Store are making huge cuts on developers’ micropayments. There are major lawsuits planned for forcing developers to make such payments through their own systems. It is a matter of curiosity what kind of actions will be taken against such applications in the future.
