Dorian, the gaming platform that prioritizes women, has received a new investment.

Game company Dorian, which aims to bring women to the fore in the game industry, has raised 14 million dollars from a series of funding. The Raine Group led the funding round. March Gaming, London Venture Partners, VGames, Gaingels, and Graham & Walker were among the tour participants.

Dorian focuses on turning fictional stories into visual novel games and has more than 3500 games in his portfolio. The highlight of these games is that they are produced ‘by a creative community composed almost entirely of women.’

Dorian CEO Julia Palatovska says:

“The expression of creative energy on our platform in the last twelve months has been incredible. We moved quickly to foster new talent by giving them the tools to turn fiction into games, host interactive social live streams, and become better at their craft based on feedback from players and advanced data insights that are available to all Dorian creators for free. And now, with creators on every continent, we are already seeing professional-level work from amateur teams across the world.”

The Dorian platform aims to reduce the difficulties fiction writers face when they want to monetize their work. At the same time, “advancing women as creative and active players in the global game industry” is one of the company’s goals.
