FIFA is the go-to game for all football fans out there. Gamers in India who checked the Epic Games Store to pre-purchase the latest installment of the series were shocked to see that it was being sold for under $1.

EA corrected the mistake, and the price went up from the faulty 4.8 rupees to the expected cost of 4,799, which would mean it went up from 6 cents to 60 dollars.

The company released a statement about the situation, describing it as an “own goal,” and ensured the fans that they would not retract products already purchased by fans with an incorrect price.

This will be the last FIFA game EA will be making, as the sides have decided to break their partnership of 30 years. The company will still continue to make football games under the name EA Sports FC and has ensured fans that the game they know and love will not turn for the worse.

As this is the end of an era, EA has promised fans a great game with many gameplay changes and improvements. Going the way of more realism within the game, EA mentioned more realistic pitches, pre-match build-up scenes, Augmented Reality replays, improved goal net textures, and many more.

FIFA 23 will be launched on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, Google Stadia, and Nintendo Switch. It will be interesting to see where the series will go from here. EA Sports will release FIFA 23 on 30 September.
