Helsinki-based company FlowState Games has completed its pre-seed round and raised 2 million dollars. The round was led by Play Ventures Future Fund with Elite Game Developers founder Joakim Achrén and angel investors and Equilibrium.

The company has also announced its first Web3 arcade game, Smash Stars: Thunderdome, a car combat game. The free-to-play game will launch an alpha test later this year.
FlowState Games CEO Edvard Groundstroem explained:
“Our long-term vision is to create a cross-platform arcade, packed with fun, approachable multiplayer games, powered by interoperable NFT content, and wrapped in social features that
empower our players to create their own experiences and content.”
Players will have ownership of digital items such as vehicles, weapons, action figures, and accessories. Flowstate Games partnered with Immutable X to implement Web3 tech and NFT into the game.
Web3 gaming space has attracted the attention of investors lately and the industry is growing bigger every day. However, according to Coda Labs’ case study, almost half of the players are still not sure how Web3 gaming works.
