Raise your banners and blow your horns, for TaleWorlds officially launched Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord on PC and consoles. The popular action RPG was already available on PC as an early access title, but as of today, it is fully launched and will be served as a completed product. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One. Japanese PlayStation players will have to wait a bit longer though, as the game’s PlayStation version will launch on November 10 in their country.
Bannerlord’s early access adventure on PC was a huge success. More than 600,000 concurrent players played Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord’s early access version on Steam following its release back on March 27, 2020. The RPG title also has a vivid modding community creating engaging and new content for the base game, making it easier for the Turkish company to retain players or see huge re-engagement numbers when a popular mod pops.
TaleWorlds showed Bannerlord’s console version at Gamescom 2022 and announced the official release date at the gaming expo. Considering how long it took Bannerlord’s PC version to be released, most fans were speculating that console versions were still years away. However, the Turkish studio had a stable build ready at Gamescom and both console versions are out and about now.
The Turkish game maker is also showing strong activity in the industry. Earlier this fall, TaleWorlds invested in Ankara-based developer Udo Games. The company CEO Armagan Yavuz said, “By supporting Udo Games with the experience we have gained across the world, we aim to bring a user and developer-friendly publishing model to our country, in accordance with ethical publishing principles,” about this newly formed partnership and added, “I am confident that we will achieve great things together with UDO Games and other young developers on this path.”
TaleWorlds promises more updates and new content will arrive in the upcoming months and while the game is fully out, their work isn’t done just yet and they’ll continue to support Bannerlord.
