Playrix joins Armenian game market by acquiring Plexonic

Playrix, the mobile game development company has bought a new studio in Yerevan, Armenia for an undisclosed fee. Today in a press release we knew that Plexonic will join Playrix Group of companies. Also, its new name will be Playrix Armenia instead of Plexonic.  Plexonic’s founder and CEO Gevorg Sargsyan will be leading the new studio. Furthermore, the team has already started working on a new casual mobile game.

Plexonic has developed more than 60 casual titles

The first Armenian game development studio was founded in 2008, since then it worked and launched 60 titles. Their most popular titles are Panda Jam, Pet Savers and Stretch. Gevorg Sargsyan, founder of Plexonic said in a statement the following:

Joining the Playrix family is a big deal for Plexonic. We are sure that with Playrix, we will jump-start our success rate to a whole new level. Being one of the largest mobile game developers in Armenia, we are very excited to open new perspectives for the local game dev industry, this time via Playrix’s enormous scale and capacity.
