The mobile game has been developed by Jelly Button, an in-house company within Playtika. Merge Stories will combine two different game genres, namely merge gaming and battle play, creating a different gaming experience for fans of both genres.

Building kingdoms and executing raids on other players will be the game’s primary focus. There are quests that create a storyline within the game, along with many characters and units to choose from. Every unit will have a particular skill in its arsenal to give the game a strategic twist.

Playtika has a wide variety of games within its portfolio, and Merge Stories is the newest addition. The company focuses heavily on quality gameplay content and graphics.

Meir Shitrit, Playtika’s Senior Vice President of New Games, used these words to describe the company’s upcoming title:

“The development of this new game has been an exciting process for Playtika & Jelly Button, with the studio utilizing the most creative talent and top-notch technology. This has been a chance for Playtika to broaden its gaming portfolio and develop as a brand in an entirely new way – which is core to our new game strategy. We hope our Merge Stories players reflect our fun in creating this game.”

Executive General Manager of Playtika, Dudu Dahan, also had some comments about Merge Stories and its launch:

“Playtika moved fast to recognize the opportunities that the merge game genre offers and use our deep experience running beloved casual titles worldwide to channel our learnings into the creation of Merge Stories. This is a reflection of Playtika’s work to expand into new genres and continue to strengthen our brand around the globe.”

Merge Stories is already available in four languages: English, French, German and Spanish. The company has stated that more languages will be included in the upcoming months.
