Skull and Bones, a new pirate game developed by Ubisoft, has been delayed. According to the announcement of the Skull and Bones team, the game was postponed until 9 March 2023 for some reasons. This means the game has been delayed for the fifth time since it was announced in 2017.

As a result of the technical tests and insider programs for the game, the company, which made this decision, published the following statement on its official channels:

“Today we’d like to give you an update regarding our release date. Although skull and bones’ development is finished at this stage. The invaluable feedback received during our various technical tests and insider program convinced us we could use a bit of extra time to polish and balance the experience even further and ensure you all get the best experience we can offer.

We have therefore decided to push our initial launch date to 9th March 2023. We will be organizing more insider program sessions to continue gathering feedback. And in case, you haven’t had the chance to participate yet, you can also look forward to our open beta in the near future! Thank you for your support and stay tuned for more information.”

Ubisoft first introduced Skull and Bones in 2017, has been delayed five times, and has reached the present day. So much so that some fans are even starting to think it’s a marketing campaign.

Recently, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot made some statements to clarify some of the company’s problems. The CEO stated that producing games can cause some friction, and each individual defends their ideas during the creative development of the game.

On the other hand, Ubisoft announced that it would join companies such as PlayStation, EA, Activision, and Take-Two Interactive to release new AAA games with a price tag of $ 70. The company’s plans, which added three new projects to an extensive series like Assassin’s Creed, seem a little tight. Fans can expect hot news from Ubisoft soon.
