Voodoo announces its biggest ever competition.

The mobile games publisher, Voodoo, announced its biggest-ever hypercasual competition with a $150,000 prize.

Registration is now open, offering both established mobile games studios and newcomers the chance to win big cash prizes. However, to take part, developers must submit an entry in one of two genres, runner and puzzle. Voodoo is no stranger to either genre, with puzzle hits like Dig This! and Roller Splat and runners such as Shortcut Run and Roof Rails.

Developers can register for the competition now and sign-up before January 10th, with submissions open between 14th January and 18th February 2021. Winners will be announced during a live stream hosted on the 4th March 2021.

As part of this competition, developers can run test campaigns on Voodoo’s platform and receive expert tips, tricks and industry insights from Voodoo’s Publishing team to help get their prototypes over the finish line. Throughout the duration of the competition, Voodoo will also host weekly live-streams with product tips and case studies, alongside interactive Q&A sessions.

With more than 12 top prizes available, globally and regionally, the best games will have the chance to win up to $200,000 on top of their game payouts. Prizes include:

  • 1st Prize – $150,000 additional minimum guarantee on any game launched upon confirmation
  • Regional Winners – $20,000 for the best game in each region (best CPI with minimum 30% D1 retention)
  • Referral Prizes – $50,000 for any referred studio that wins 1st prize
