Independent studio Noodle Cat receives $4.1M in a seed funding round

The firm comprises veterans with former experience at game industry giants.

Noodle Cat Games has announced the closing of a seed funding round, amassing a total of $4.1 million for the company. Makers Fund-led round also saw contributions from 1Up Ventures and investor Matthew Ball’s Epyllion.

The studio aims to forge a new path for the game industry to create a flexible, healthy, and non-toxic work environment. Noodle Cat states that their belief lies in a mix of teamwork and personal growth, with a company identity that revolves around trust, creativity, and empathy.

CEO and Co-Founder of Noodle Cat, David Hunt, shared thoughts and feelings on the company’s goals:

Jay Chi, Makers Fund’s Founding Partner, also had some comments:

Noodle Cat Games was founded by ex-Epic Games Lead Systems Designer David Hunt. The executive and developer team are all industry veterans with prior experience in game giants such as Epic Games, Electronic Arts, BioWare, and PopCap Games.
