Odeeo expands US presence

Odeeo, a prominent global in-game audio advertising platform, has announced that it is expanding its presence in the United States by appointing Spotify executive James Cowan as US Commercial Lead.

Odeeo achieved 566% net revenue growth and a 260% yearly Daily Active User (DAU) surge in 2023. James Cowan will assume the role of US Commercial Lead to spearhead the company’s growth initiatives in the US market this year.

Cowan brings extensive experience from Spotify, where he spent seven years and served as Head of Programmatic Sales, Americas. His primary responsibilities at Odeeo will revolve around nurturing strategic commercial relationships with agencies, Demand Side Platforms (DSPs), and key partners while also contributing to the expansion of Odeeo’s US sales division.

Last year, Teresa Elliott joined Odeeo’s Advisory Board to support the company’s objectives of broader expansion in the US market in 2024. Currently serving as Chief Revenue Officer at audio agency Ad Results Media, Elliott is an external advisor, leveraging her extensive experience in the advertising industry. Before assuming her role at Ad Results Media, Elliott spent over 15 years in the digital advertising industry, with stints at Microsoft and Spotify, where she held the position of Head of Global Agency & Joint Business Plan Development.

Amit Monheit, CEO at Odeeo, emphasized the significance of these appointments and stated:

We’ve been committed to our visibility in the US since we launched, through participation in the IAB’s Gaming and Audio committees as well as several strategic partnerships, and this marks the next phase of Odeeo’s evolution in the States.”
