Playstation.Blog interviewed Miyazaki

As the launch date of Elden Ring approaches, we get more content and information about the game.
Today, we got ourselves an extra four minute Elden Ring gameplay video.

A day earlier, Fromsoftware’s Game Director and CEO Hidetaka Miyazaki gave an interview to Playstation.Blog.

“We want players to feel the importance of the level of freedom that we’re focusing on this time. We want them to enjoy the game in their own way and feel liberated in this new open world that they can explore at their own pace.”

Hidetaka Miyazaki.

Saying that Elden Ring will welcome new players, Miyazaki added that “he doesn’t want new players to worry or stress about the difficulty that much.”

For the progress, players will have more options to overcome their challenges. We know that FromSoft is proud of its new game mechanics like sneak, jump, and horse-riding, and these mechanics will give new opportunities to defeat enemies. Miyazaki acknowledged the freedom of movement that provides players with the choice of attack point.

Elden Ring seems like it will be the most player-friendly FromSoft title.

In the interview, Miyazaki said that the Elden Ring will have both New Game Plus and multiple endings.

He says he doesn’t have a class recommendation for the first play but he has a warning about it: Don’t pick Wretched!(a naked class, like Deprived in Souls series).

New Elden Ring content

Here’s the new Elden Ring gameplay of Game Informer.

Today, Game Informer published a YouTube video of the new 4 minutes of Elden Ring gameplay. With new areas and one incredible giant battle, Elden Ring looks beautiful as ever.

The gameplay explores Castle Mourne, an arena we have never seen before, located in southern Limgrave, according to this Game Informer report.

The fresh atmosphere of the Elden Ring is breathtaking because of the actual open world presented in well-established —and familiar— souls mechanics. It looks like making an open-world game was more straightforward than shortening the length of the main character.
