Mobile casual game players are motivated in renovation elements, so much so that these elements are found in every one of the top 100 grossing casual games released in the US since 2020, according to GameRefinery.

GameRefinery recapitulates some of the key motivators that make users play mobile games in Motivations and Demographics Snapshot Report, their new insightful report.

Six key motivators are reported to contrive user engagement in Motivations and Demographics Snapshot Report: escapism, social, mastery, management, expression, and exploration. Each motivator corresponds to various subcategories motivating users to play certain games. Renovation elements are considered as expression motivators. As it turns out, casual mobile game players love to “clear up space and improve it.”

Examples of renovation games are Royal Match from Dream Games, Candy Crush from King, Coin Master from Moon Active, Toon Blast from Peak Games, Homescapes from Playrix.
