Roblox is one of the most popular mobile games on Android and iPhone, especially between children. Today, the popular intelligence firm Sensor Tower announced that the mobile version of the game reached a new milestone. According to the report, the MMO sandbox game crossed $1.5 billion in player spending. Seven months ago, the game reached $1 billion in player spending. Due to the ongoing pandemic, Roblox’s revenue has been increasing especially in May where the game had its best month ever with about $103 million.
Roblox is most popular in the United States
Based on the same report, the United States is the game’s main source of income. It represented 66.3 percent of total revenue with more than $1 billion from player spending. Great Britain followed the U.S with $132.8 million, which is 8.4 percent. Canada closes the top three with $66 million, or 4.2 percent. When it comes to platforms, the App Store accounted for the majority of Roblox’s with $1.2 billion, which is 75.4 percent. On the other, Google Play generated $389.2 million, or 24.6 percent. Furthermore, iPad players spent the most on the game, $623.8 million in lifetime to date. That is 39.4 percent of total player spending revenue. Roblox is closing to another milestone, which is almost 400 million downloads. Right now, it’s sitting on 383 million downloads across the App Store and Google Play. The United States also got the first spot with 104.6 million downloads or 27.3 percent of total downloads. Brazil ranked two with over 41 million downloads and Russia followed with 21 million installs. That’s 10.7 percent and 5.4 percent respectively.
