Supercell announces its new IP mo.co

Early-stage beta testing will be in late October 2023 for players in the United States with Android phones.

Helsinki-based mobile game development giant Supercell announced its new game mo.co, a monster hunting game. Early-stage beta testing will be in late October 2023 for players in the United States with Android phones.

mo.co, which the company describes as “a leap into the unknown,” promises to immerse players in the role of daring monster hunters who utilize portals to explore enigmatic realms, all while joining forces with mo.co, a team of monster-hunters led by the characters Luna, Jax, and Manny.

Supercell’s CEO, Ilkka Paananen, unveiled this exciting project in an in-game announcement, emphasizing the company’s belief in the unifying power of games on a global scale. “It’s well known that Supercell believes games have the power to bring people around the world together,” he noted. “So naturally, we believe investing in this type of discovery will take us to the next level. With portal technology infused in our games, players in our world (and others) will experience togetherness like never before!”

He went on to explain, “At our core, we believe the best teams make the best games, and in mo.co’s case, this still holds true… but in a monster-hunting business kind of way. Regardless, their founding team, made up of Luna, Jax, and Manny, are a true reflection of what we value at Supercell: independence, accountability, and innovation.

As of now, detailed information about mo.co’s gameplay remains rather elusive. The exact nature of Supercell’s “breakthrough portal technology” remains undisclosed, leaving players intrigued and guessing about the game’s core mechanics.
