Venture capital firm a16z is once again seeking ambitious entrepreneurs through its Speedrun program, with applications now open for the sixth edition (SR6).
The accelerator will run for 12 weeks at the firm’s San Francisco headquarters and aims to support founders building companies with long-term impact.
Speedrun is designed for entrepreneurs who want to move beyond “models and PowerPoints” to create “something generational.” The program’s focus is on backing founders with relentless drive, deep curiosity, and a strong sense of purpose.
What Speedrun 6 Offers
Participants selected for SR6 will gain access to:
- Up to $1M in funding.
- One-on-one office hours with a16z investors and operators.
- A roster of luminary speakers and targeted sessions covering marketing, business development, product launches, creators, go‑to‑market strategies, and AI.
- Community events and networking opportunities.
- Insights from industry leaders, including founders of Carta, Zynga, DoorDash, Behance, Airtable, Twilio, Figma, and more.
The program also provides direct collaboration with more than 30 dedicated a16z investors and operators.
Turkish Studios That Benefited from a16z Speedrun: Alpaka Games & Circle Games
In 2025, several Turkiye‑based game studios gained significant traction by participating in a16z’s Speedrun accelerator, leveraging that exposure to attract investment and internationally scale their operations.
Alpaka Games
- Alpaka Games, a self‑publishing mobile game studio from Istanbul focused on hybrid action titles, raised $2.25 million in a seed round led by Ludus Ventures, with participation from a16z Speedrun and Revo Capital.
- The studio was selected for the prestigious Speedrun program earlier in 2025, a highly selective initiative that accepted fewer than 1 percent of applicants. Taking part in the San Francisco‑based acceleration gave Alpaka direct access to Silicon Valley networks and resources.
- CEO Can Aksoy remarked, “As a young studio from Turkiye, speedrun helped us connect with global leaders and sharpen our vision. This funding gives us the momentum to scale our games and team for international success.”

Circle Games
- Istanbul‑based Circle Games secured $7.25 million in seed funding in July 2025, with the round led by Bitkraft Ventures and supported by a16z Speedrun, Play Ventures, e2vc, and APY Ventures
- Founded by veterans from Gram Games, Dream Games, and Good Job Games, Circle Games focuses on mobile puzzle titles. This funding will help scale the title globally and grow the company’s 12‑person team.

Application Deadline
Applications for Speedrun 6 are open now, with a deadline of September 28, 2025. Founders can apply through the official site.
