Capcom, the video game company known for its popular Monster Hunter franchise, recently filed trademarks for “Monster Hunter Puzzles: Felyne Isles” in the United States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand on April 27. While no official announcement has been made regarding a new game with that title, it is speculated to be a remastered version of the 2012 Japan-exclusive Monster Hunter spin-off game, Airu de Puzzle.

The name “Airu” is the Japanese term for the Monster Hunter series’ beloved “Felyne” creatures, and “Isle” can also be romanized as “Airu.” It is possible that “Monster Hunter Puzzles: Felyne Isles” is a localized version of Airu de Puzzle for a worldwide release. This news has prompted speculation that Capcom may make an official announcement soon.

Capcom’s latest release, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. A free title update for the Nintendo Switch and Steam versions has been released, with another update slated for later this summer. However, the contents of the upcoming update have not been revealed.

If the rumors are true and “Monster Hunter Puzzles: Felyne Isles” is a remastered version of Airu de Puzzle, it would be an exciting addition to the Monster Hunter franchise. With the recent global success of Monster Hunter games, it would make sense for Capcom to dust off a beloved title from their back catalog for a new audience. Fans will have to wait for an official announcement from Capcom to learn more.
