A 7.7 magnitude earthquake occurred in Kahramanmaraş at 04:17 on Monday, February 6, with its epicenter in the Pazarcık district. Then, at 13:24, another earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 occurred, with its epicenter in the Elbistan district of Kahramanmaraş.
There are difficulties in delivering aid to the affected areas, where thousands of buildings have collapsed, and the number of dead and injured is in the thousands and, unfortunately, increasing.

The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) report to the Ministry of Interior and coordinates all public institutions and non-governmental organizations working on earthquakes.
AFAD announced that those who want to help disaster victims could send an SMS to 1866 by typing “DEPREM”. The cost of the SMS is 20 Turkish liras.

AKUT (Search and Rescue Association), Türkiye’s first voluntary search and rescue association, participates in earthquake-affected regions with many teams.

Turkish Red Crescent announced that it has directed all its shelter, food, nutrition and blood services capacity to the earthquake-affected areas. The organization has issued an urgent call for blood donation all over Turkey.
