Saudi Game Champions 2 opens applications for global developers

Saudi Game Champions 2, a Game Jam + incubator programme spearheaded by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) in partnership with CODE, the National Technology Development Program, ITMAM, Game BCN, and ZigZag Ventures, is now open for applications.

The programme seeks game developers globally to take their playable ideas through to market-ready MVPs.

The initiative kicks off with a three-day Game Jam, taking place from October 23 to 25, 2025, in Riyadh. After this, the top 20 teams move on to a six-month incubation phase (9 November 2025 to 23 April 2026), held at CODE HQ in Riyadh.

Key Benefits & Support

  • Each startup accepted into the incubator receives approximately $50,000 in funding to support development, business setup, and operations.

  • Mentorship from 40 global game industry experts.

  • Access to training in both technical game development and business strategy. Playtest days and pitching practice will prepare teams for exposure.

  • The top five incubator teams win the opportunity to attend the Tokyo Game Show, with travel expenses covered.

    Deadline and Application Details

    • Applicants must be 18+ and fluent in English.

    • Teams applying for the incubator must have at least 3 members, with 3 members attending the required sessions (3× per week).

    • Physical presence in Riyadh is mandatory throughout.

    • Founders must handle their own commercial registration and bank setup in Riyadh to receive the funding.

    Applications for Saudi Game Champions 2 are now open and will close on October 21, 2025. Acceptance notifications will be sent by 2 November 2025. Interested developers can apply through the official link here.
