Honor of Kings reaches $329 million in consumer spending for October 2021

Developed by Tencent, the popular MOBA Honor of Kings, became the #1 in the top-grossing mobile games lists for October 2021.

According to Sensor Tower’s data, Honor of Kings earned $329 million in consumer spending. According to these numbers, an increase of 46.2 percent compared to the previous year and 36.5% compared to the previous month seems to have been achieved.

Although Honor of Kings is not well-known in the global market, it is very popular in China. Approximately 96.7 percent of its income comes from China, with Taiwan taking its place in the ranking with 1.2 percent.

PUBG: Mobile, Krafton’s popular Battle Royale game, became the #2 top-grossing mobile game with $197 million. About 51 percent of spending came from Game for Peace, the game’s localized version for China, followed by the United States with 11.5 percent.

Candy Crush Saga, developed by King, took third place with an increase of 50 percent compared to last year. Fourth place is taken by Free Fire developed by Garena, while in fifth place in League of Legends: Wild Rift from Riot Games.

This month marks the first time Wild Rift has entered the top 10 worldwide and earned $108 million. This gain is due to the game being released in China. China holds 93 percent of player spending.

The world mobile game industry grew by 10.5 percent annually across the App Store and Google Play during the month, reaching a value of 7.5 billion dollars.
