Light Hour Games is a new studio on the rise, built on equal parts experience, emotion… and artificial intelligence. Cyprus-based mobile developer is now officially part of the GDEV.

Founded by seasoned devs Konstantin Mitrofanov (ex CPO at Belka Games) and Ilya Nikitin (ex Chief Project Manager at MY.GAMES). New gaming studio is a full-stack studio that builds and markets mobile casual games using AI-first workflows – enabling rapid iteration without compromising high-quality execution.

Their goal?

To build feel-good casual games that players can connect with – and to do it smarter, faster, and better using AI-first production workflows.

With just 15 people and a ton of automation under the hood, the team is already preparing a new game: a tile-match game, blending familiar gameplay with story-driven depth and emotional beats. (Soft launch is coming in October this year.)

As part of the deal, GDEV is providing full operational funding, plus access to its data, analytics, and publishing muscle. In return, the team keeps full creative control and shares in the long-term success of its games.

“Light Hour Games fits our vision perfecty – lean, talented, and driven by innovation.

We believe in backing great creators with the freedom and support they need to make something unforgettable.”

“Joining GDEV gives us the best of both worlds: the resources to dream big, and the freedom to build the game we believe in. We can’t wait to share it with players.”
