Top 20 Mobile Apps by Advertising in November 2025

First, let’s take a look at the November rankings for global mobile app advertising:

November saw even fiercer competition in content product marketing, with significant changes in the top five rankings.

Micro drama platforms such as ReelShort, ShortMax, and FlareFlow rose in the rankings; online novel products such as Novel Master and Novelmates made their debut on the list; and outside the rankings, many AI products dominated, with Skywork’s Linky AI and the renamed global version of Doubao, Dola, leading the charge in global expansion, engaging in fierce advertising battles in the 30-40 range.

Let’s look at ReelShort:

As a leading global micro drama platform, ReelShort has demonstrated strong dominance since its launch. Its first-mover advantage, coupled with high-quality micro dramas, laid a solid foundation for its success. Social media marketing and user acquisition advertising have expanded their audience.

Even though its advertising spending has been slightly lower than that of other later-entering platforms in recent years, it still ranks among the top micro drama apps. According to SocialPeta, we see the following specific advertising spending in November:

  • In November, approximately 330,000 deduplicated ads were placed across both Android and iOS, with new creatives accounting for 93.9%.

  • Ads were placed in 81 countries/regions, with the United States, Germany, France, and Brazil having the highest percentages.

  • The Android to iOS ratio was approximately 61:39.

  • About 2,000 TV shows were featured in November, with new shows accounting for approximately 48.4%.

  • In November, Bound by Honor ranked first among micro dramas by advertising volume, which tells the story of a young girl, Arya, who is forced to marry Luca, the kingpin of the mafia—a typical example of arranged marriage with forced love.

The most-viewed creative in November was approximately 5 minutes long. It opened with a female monologue, “I’m 18 years old, I can’t lose tonight…” to grab the viewer’s attention with a dramatic opening line. Subsequent scenes involving a wedding, a third party, and kidnapping deepened the conflict and increased tension, culminating in a classic hero-saves-the-damsel-in-distress ending that left viewers in suspense.

This creative has already garnered over 1.64 million views and 18,000 likes on YouTube.

Let’s look at ByteDance’s global version of Dola:

  • In November, approximately 32,000 deduplicated ad creatives were generated across both platforms, with new ads accounting for about 80.6%.

  • Ads were distributed to 80 countries/regions, with the top three being the Philippines, Indonesia, and Mexico.

  • Video creatives were the primary focus, accounting for over 88.5%.

  • Popular ad creatives were mainly user-generated content (UGC), with recent campaigns even featuring storylines of randomly giving away phones (using the Doubao mobile assistant app) to strangers, leveraging viewers’ desire for a bargain to promote the campaign in a relatable and everyday way.
