Kazoo Games has recently raised $12 million in its Series A funding round. Free Fire’s developer and publisher, Garena was the tour’s biggest investor. Kazoo Games, which develops mid-core and casual games, plans to increase its developer team, which currently consists of 15 people, to 30 with the investment it has received.
Kazoo combines the entrepreneurial spirit and admirable achievements of CEO David Schulman and chief creative director Sean Ro, who previously produced popular mobile games for Disney and Jam City. The titles of the two successful names have so far reached more than half a billion players and generated hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue.
David Schulman talked about the union of the two:
“Sean and I believe exceptional games are made with love and care, and that passion is our foundation for Kazoo. This investment round enables us to rapidly grow our team as we make games that matter to players.”
Sean Ro made the following additions on the subject:
“Our team knows how to deliver incredible mobile experiences to our players that are as accessible and fun as casual games with the depth of midcore games.”
Kazoo Games introduces itself to developers and customers who are curious about it:
“We’re Kazoo Games, buzzing to the beat of our tune that’s carried on the dedication of our team, creativity of our games and the enthusiasm of our players. We’ve worked on massive hits across the industry, including at Disney, Electronic Arts, Jam City, NCSoft, NetEase, Nickelodeon, and Warner Bros, and here at Kazoo we’ve set out to raise the bar even higher. Kazoo Games is a place where we get to channel our expertise into super fun creative exploration, making mobile hits that are wildly popular and a total pleasure to build.
