The session, Narrative-Driven PC Games – The Resurgence of Storytelling, brings together four unique voices: Serkan Özay of Hero Concept, Nihan İşler of Ubik Studios, Doğan Can Yeğiner of ELYZIO, and Eray Dinç of Recontant Games.
Meet the Speakers
Serkan Özay – Co-Founder & Creative Director, Hero Concept
Serkan Özay co-founded Hero Concept in 2017, a studio best known for Doughlings: Arcade, Doughlings: Invasion, and the side-scrolling brawler Mayhem Brawler. In early 2025, Hero Concept launched a Kickstarter campaign for Mayhem Brawler II: Best of Both Worlds, continuing the studio’s tradition of retro-inspired action and narrative flair.
Özay is one of the veterans of the Turkish industry and has been in the industry for over 20+ years.

Nihan İşler – Co-Founder & Creative Director, Ubik Studios
Nihan İşler co-founded Ubik Studios in 2022 in Istanbul alongside Uğur Canbaz and İsmail İbiloğlu. Trained as a graphic designer at Bahçeşehir University, she now serves as Creative Director, overseeing the studio’s storytelling and visual identity.
Ubik’s projects include Havsala: Into the Soul Palace and the hand-animated puzzle narrative Leila, released on PC and consoles in April 2025. In addition to her studio role, Nihan lectures on Game Design Practices, bridging academia and production.

Doğan Can Yeğiner – Co-Founder & CEO, ELYZIO
Doğan Can Yeğiner is co-founder and CEO of ELYZIO, a next-generation studio and publisher founded in 2022 by former Google and Ubisoft veterans. In 2023, ELYZIO raised $2 million in pre-seed funding, enabling the launch of its first title, Warden’s Will—a multiplayer bullet-hell shooter praised for its gameplay.
Beyond developing its own titles, ELYZIO also partners with indie studios by offering comprehensive publishing support. One of these collaborations is Pera Coda, a narrative adventure that pushes the boundaries of interactive storytelling and showcases ELYZIO’s commitment to elevating bold creative projects.

Eray Dinç – Founder of Recontact Games
Istanbul, Turkiye, Dr. Eray Dinç is a filmmaker, game designer, and educator. He holds a Ph.D. (Proficiency in Art) in Cinema-TV and serves as Head of Digital Game Design at Beykent University.
He co-founded Recontact Games, where he directed Recontact Istanbul—named “Best Game” by the App Store.
His recent title, Nazar (2024), is a genre-defying FMV platformer blending full-motion video and 2D gameplay, set in Cappadocia, and debuted on PC in November 2024.
