Wemade teams up with Nine66 to expand in Saudi Arabia

The partnership will see two companies working together in various regional programs.

South Korean game developer Wemade has announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Savvy Games Group company Nine66. The company stated that this move will assist in driving the development of the game industry in Saudi Arabia.

With this partnership, Savvy aims to move closer to its long-term objective of driving the growth and development of the game industry in Saudi Arabia. The group comprises five independent entities covering game development, esports, investments and more.

Wemade stated that it has committed to supporting the local gaming ecosystem by providing training and educational content, as well as collaborating with Saudi game developers.

According to the press release, the partnership will explore various programs for knowledge transfer, regional event sponsorship, and regional network expansion to help grow the Saudi game industry and create new opportunities for developers and gamers.

Recently, Chinese esports company VSPO received a whopping $265 million investment from Savvy Games Group. South Korean game giant Wemade has been active in recent months, partnering with Sandbox Network for the Web3 space. Earlier this month, Wemade and Metagravity also partnered for blockchain games.
