World leading mobile developers team up to support charities

COVID-19 has affected all of us and all the industries we love including the games industry. In a recent press release, many world leading mobile developers came together to aid global charities. This group of companies includes DoDreams, MAG Interactive, Popcore, Miniclip, Ilyon Dynamics, Kwalee, Masomo, plus many others. Furthermore, this group of developers and publishers has over 100 million daily active users combined.

Mobile developers will give a portion of their advertising inventory

Each company mentioned above will give a portion of its global advertising inventory to support charities. Charities such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation (UK), SpecialEffect and BuildAid. Pieter Kooyman, Chief Advertising Officer for Miniclip said in a statement the following:

With many people stuck at home around the world, gaming publishers are seeing record usage. We are all pleased to be able to give free access to advertising inventory for a group of charities that face a critical challenge over the next few months.

Mobile Developers

Vungle, one of the leading advertising network will handle the creative ad development and ad-serving for these mobile developers. Right now, the work charities are undertaking has never been so vital. It can be hard for them to reach the people who need their services the most, as well as launch appeals for much-needed donations.” said Jeremy Bondy, Chief Operating Officer at Vungle. “Millions of people play mobile games every day, so in-app ads can really help these organizations spread the word.”

Games industry is coming together

This week also 18 gaming companies united together against COVID-19 including Activision Blizzard, Playtika, Zynga, YouTube Gaming, Riot Games, Big Fish Games, and more. The campaign is called #PlayApartTogether, it will bring special events, exclusives, activities, and rewards to some of the most popular games in the world. It’s always nice when we see companies from the industry we love unite. On behalf of Mobidictum, thank you, mobile developers!
