Zynga Inc., a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive, and Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. have announced a multi-year partnership making CSR Racing (CSR), a hyper-real mobile racing franchise developed by Zynga’s subsidiary NaturalMotion, an official partner of Lamborghini’s new LMDH prototype entry in the FIA WEC Hypercar Class and IMSA Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) Class global racing championships.
This comprehensive collaboration involves branding CSR on all Lamborghini Iron Lynx racing team elements, marking the first time in Lamborghini’s history that it will participate in the FIA Hypercar and IMSA GTP class. The Lamborghini Squadra Corse is set to compete in 12 races globally across the FIA and IMSA championships in 2024. The hypercar GTP class represents the highest tier in the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, showcasing the most superior and high-performance cars on the market.
The Lamborghini SC63 race car, characterized by cutting-edge engineering and top speed, will debut in prominent events, including the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans. The partnership extends beyond the real-world racing scene, with the CSR2 brand prominently featured on the SC63 hypercar, drivers’ and team’s uniforms in real life. Additionally, virtual recreations of these elements will be integrated into the CSR2 game, enabling mobile players to experience the thrill of racing with the Lamborghini SC63.
Julian Widdows, Senior Vice President of Racing at NaturalMotion, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the unique opportunity for racing enthusiasts to engage with both in-game and real-world activations. Lamborghini Marketing Director Christian Mastro acknowledged the expansion of their long-term collaboration with CSR Racing, emphasizing the alignment of CSR2 with Lamborghini’s commitment to excellence, design, and detailed execution. Mastro anticipates that the Lamborghini SC63 will become a significant model in CSR2, providing gamers worldwide the chance to compete with the brand’s new racing prototype.
