Stash, one of the leading direct-to-consumer (D2C) platforms built for game makers, announced the appointment of Henry Lowenfels as Chief Executive Officer. Lowenfels, a seasoned games executive with leadership roles at Scopely and Homa, will guide Stash through its next phase of growth as the company helps publishers take control of player relationships and revenue.

Lowenfels brings more than 20 years of experience in entertainment and gaming. At Scopely, he was part of the leadership team that scaled the publisher into one of the most successful mobile gaming companies, contributing to hit franchises such as Star Trek: Fleet Command and MONOPOLY GO!. Most recently, as President of Homa, he led direct-to-consumer strategy and witnessed firsthand how D2C could unlock margin expansion and deeper player engagement.

“At every step of my career, I’ve seen the same truth: when studios own the relationship with their players, they unlock stronger engagement, better experiences, and healthier businesses.

Stash is uniquely positioned to help studios of every size operationalize D2C as a core competency and I’m thrilled to join the team building the infrastructure that will define the future of gaming.”

Strengthening Leadership with Gaming DNA

Joining Lowenfels on the company’s executive team is Spencer Tucker, Chief Product Officer, who operationalized webshops and pioneered the company’s category-defining position in D2C.

Together with Lowenfels and a growing leadership bench of industry veterans, the company is assembling a gaming-native executive team that contrasts with competitors rooted in adtech or SaaS.

Stash’s Differentiated Approach

Stash has quickly established itself as the trusted D2C partner for top game developers, including Snowprint Studios, Hutch Games, and Fateless Games. Its platform goes beyond payments to deliver:

  • Player-first product design with loyalty programs, incentives, and a best-in-class user experience.

  • White glove execution, embedding with studio teams to tailor D2C to live ops and production roadmaps.

  • 100% iOS and Android compliance, giving publishers confidence in long-term sustainability.

Looking Ahead

“D2C is no longer a niche strategy. It’s becoming a competitive necessity,” said Lowenfels. “With our industry experience and focus on player experience, Stash is the partner that will help publishers thrive in this new era.”
