Annapurna Interactive teams up with Simogo, Sayonara Wild Hearts developers. This means that Annapurna Interactive will publish the rhythm-action game developer’s future projects. This announcement comes from a statement on Simogo’s official website which you can read here. Both of them worked together for quite some time and apparently they enjoyed their partnership.
What does that mean?
The Malmö, Sweden based studio will remain independent but with more resources and possibilities and less compromising. It’s like “getting married”, that’s how Simogo’s founders Simon and Gordon mentioned it. In the statement, they said:
It means that we can do things that aren’t possible for us to make by ourselves. That also means that we can work even more regularly with the composers and artists we already love to work with. It could, to sum it up, mean a lot of new fun and unexpected stuff for us, and you, in the future. It’s going to be wild and wonderful, and we hope you’ll be here to take the journey with us.
At the end of the statement, the founders said that they are still working on their next game, Project Fuzzy Optics. Sayonara Wild Hearts its one of the launch titles of iOS’s Apple Arcade subscription service. It also launched on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC which continued its success.
