Appcharge, a direct-to-consumer platform that enables mobile game publishers to maximize profits by selling directly to their players, and Dots.eco, the environmental rewards platform that transforms everyday actions into real-world environmental impact, have partnered to enable mobile game developers to integrate a new feature that facilitates ecological impact through gameplay.

The new feature allows mobile game developers to offer players the option to support real-world conservation efforts, such as tree planting or ocean-bound plastic removal, directly from the game’s web store.

When making an in-app purchase, players will have the opportunity to contribute to environmental restoration initiatives, seamlessly aligning engagement with positive global impact.

Such a campaign was recently launched in partnership with Candivore, the mobile game studio behind popular multiplayer match-3 puzzle game Match Masters, to drive real-world environmental impact. By simply playing the game and making purchases on the game’s web store, players contributed to preserving natural habitats, while the activity also led to a 40% increase in daily active users (DAUs)  for the webstore and an astonishing 100% uplift (2X) in first-time deposits (FTDs) during the activity.

These results clearly demonstrate that players, especially those who had never made a purchase before, are more likely to cross the psychological barrier of making their first transaction when it’s tied to something meaningful beyond the game itself.

When given a simple, transparent way to do good for the planet, players respond enthusiastically. This proves that purpose-driven incentives don’t just create emotional connection, they also drive tangible business outcomes.

To date, Dots.eco has planted over one million trees, removed 719,757 pounds of plastic from the ocean, and helped protect more than 850,000 sea turtles, among other impact categories in the most critical areas of the world.

“Appcharge is committed to leveraging our platform and enabling our partners to create meaningful impact beyond the phone and game.

By partnering with Dots.eco, we can now integrate environmental initiatives into our core offerings and empower our users to contribute to the health of our planet with every interaction.”
