Held over two vibrant days in the coastal city of Burgas, the Black Sea Game Summit event was a collaborative effort between CreaTech Bulgaria and the Municipality of Burgas, designed to spark dialogue, connection, and growth within the industry.

The Summit brought together professionals, studios, and enthusiasts from across the region.

A Showcase of Talent and Initiative

The program offered a dynamic mix of talks, panels, workshops, and an expo zone that gave indie developers free space to present their games alongside established studios and tech companies. The vibe was open, creative, and collaborative — a fertile environment for networking and forging new partnerships.

A regional discussion featuring Catalin Butnariu (Romania), Pavol Buday (Slovakia), Gorast Cvetkovski (Macedonia), and Batuhan Avucan (Estonia & Turkiye) explored shared challenges and opportunities in SEE’s evolving game landscape.

Already looking forward to what we can build together at Black Sea Game Summit 2026.

This was only the beginning.

Nothing but love for the Black Sea Game Summit 2025

I had a great time attending Black Sea Games Summit in Burgas, Bulgaria, reconnecting with old friends and meeting a bunch of cool new people. This was the first edition of this event, and the first major event focused on game development in Bulgaria. Congrats to everyone involved in organizing and reaching this important milestone for the local community!

Very much looking forward to exploring opportunities for regional collaboration, and of course, to the 2026 edition of this event!

Great things are happening in Bulgaria. The local game developers community with a big boost from the municipality of Burgas put together the inaugural Black Sea Game Summit catering to professionals and newcomers.

Slovak Game Developers Association was invited with other trade bodies to share the insights and experience on how to expand the ecosystem and help it to grow. It was a pleasure to represent, meet with the local studios and talent and share the knowledge. It was a blast.

It was a great experience! For sure! ✨

The movement in this region (Balkan/SEE) toward creating a collaborative gaming industry felt strong throughout the 2-day program. The organizers, CreaTech Bulgaria, clearly know what they are doing and what they are aiming for! 🎯

Final Thoughts

BSGS 2025 marks an important milestone. It proved that the region has not only talent but also leadership, initiative, and a sense of community. With more events like this, Burgas and Bulgaria could become a key node in the SEE game development network.
