In its Q1 2022 financial reports, global distribution platform Flexion Mobile announced that it helped Android game developers earn $50 million in revenue in the last 12 months.

The company takes on the technology and marketing challenges of adding a game to alternative stores such as the Huawei App Gallery, Amazon App Store, Samsung Galaxy App Store, Xiaomi GetApps, and One Store, giving developers new revenue and audience opportunities for their games.

Flexion CEO Jens Lauritzson made the following comments in a speech;

“Our approach has proved attractive to game developers because there is little upfront cost or effort required from their side. They let us run the show and get a handsome revenue boost from their games in return.”

Flexion, which adds 10% to its revenue by taking a game to alternative app stores, takes on the technical part of switching to alternative stores. In addition, the company handles user acquisition and platform relations to maximize the target audience, its customers’ games reach, and the revenue each game generates.

The company recently acquired marketing agency Audiencly to increase its distribution strength and marketing expertise. With this acquisition, the company aims to help game developers generate more revenue from their distribution in new channels.
