Dubai has established a dedicated committee to advance its gaming sector as part of a broader push to strengthen the emirate’s role as a global hub for media and the digital economy.

The gaming committee will support training and professional development, as well as the expansion of start-ups, in line with Dubai’s broader agenda to attract international expertise and create new opportunities for investors and creators.

Dubai Media Council leadership framed the move as part of a broader operational plan to offer “world-class services and facilities,” pointing to Dubai’s digital infrastructure, regulatory agility, logistics networks, and geographic connectivity as competitive advantages for scaling businesses.

Separately, DMCC continues to position its Gaming Ecosystem as a base for developers, publishers, and related service providers, offering specialised licensing for gaming and e-sports activities alongside infrastructure such as the DMCC Gaming Centre. DMCC says more than 100 gaming businesses have joined the centre to date.

Among those companies is Türkiye’s Zuuks Games, which has previously announced it will open an office in Dubai.

DMCC also lists practical setup support for member companies, including commercial space options, renewable residency visas, and access to incubators/accelerators and funding pathways through partners such as AstroLabs and venture firms tied to specific programmes.
