The Game of the Year winner Elden Ring has announced its first expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree on its official Twitter account. The announcment came with no confirmed release date or further information.

In Elden Ring, the fate of the Erdtree is dependent on the player’s choice of ending. Expansion’s name suggests the new storyline will take place in the aftermath of the first game’s ending.
The announcement did not reveal much information, saying, “Rise, Tarnished, and let us walk a new path together. An upcoming expansion for Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is currently in development. We hope you look forward to new adventures in the Lands Between.”
Elden Ring won The Game Awards, Steam Awards, and New York Game Awards in 2022 and was declared as the game of the year by many gamers.
