Skybound to make a major investment in Mega Cat Studios

The studio is working on its upcoming RPG adventure title, WrestleQuest.

Skybound Entertainment has announced making a significant investment in developer Mega Cat Studios. The company identifies itself as a creative first video game studio with a retro ethos and a culture of innovation. The investment’s exact amount has not been revealed.

Mega Cat Studios is currently developing WrestleQuest, a new RPG adventure featuring a licensed roster of iconic wrestling legends, for Skybound. Skybound stated that this strategic investment will further efforts to expand its global publishing footprint and partner with top game-making talent and creative teams.

David Alpert, CEO of Skybound Entertainment, commented:

Skybound Entertainment recently announced its first-ever Regulation A+ campaign, raising more than $11.8 million on the Republic platform. WrestleQuest’s initial launch date has been determined as May 2023. The title will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X and Series S.
