The French video game maker announced multiple entries and a dedicated game hub for its highly popular Assassin’s Creed franchise.
Ubisoft will launch a new mobile game called Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade that takes place in Ancient China as well as another mobile game that’ll be exclusive to Netflix’s gaming platform. The video game giant also showed the cinematic trailer for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage and announced a brand new title called Assassin’s Creed Codename Red set in feudal Japan. The company also revealed a new work-in-progress title dubbed Assassin’s Creed Codename Hex, but the French studio didn’t share any key details about it at Ubisoft Forward.
Ubisoft also announced Assassin’s Creed Infinity, a video game hub dedicated to the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Codename Red and Codename Hex were announced for the only two games announced for the Infinity hub, but older titles will appear on the platform eventually.
Marc-Alexis Côté of Ubisoft said, “Infinity is not a game, per se. It’s going to be the single entry point for our fans into the Assassin’s Creed franchise in the future. Infinity is going to be a hub that will unite all our different experiences and our players together in meaningful ways,” and added, “We’re actually investigating how we will bring back standalone, multiplayer experiences into the Assassin’s Creed universe, all connected to the Infinity Hub.”
The French gaming entity also shared a trailer for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s free update called The Last Chapter, which will conclude the story of Eivor, the game’s main character.
