WeMade has announced a KRW 10 billion (roughly USD 7.2 million) strategic investment in the freshly launched game studio Studio Rasa.

Studio RASA was founded in June by Chang Kyu Noh (CEO), Tae-yeon Kim (Project Director), and Hyeon Kim (Art Director), core developers of Lies of P, which won the Grand Award at the 2023 Korea Game Awards. The studio is now focused on creating high-quality console titles.

The studio is currently developing its first console title, “Project IL”, targeting a 2028 release. The investment will be used to expand the development team, build prototypes, and establish art resources to support the overall production process.

WEMADE has acquired a 25% equity stake in Studio RASA after evaluating its creativity, development capabilities, and global market potential. Through this investment, WEMADE has also secured global publishing rights and a secondary investment option for Project IL.

“We are delighted to partner with one of Korea’s top development teams whose capabilities have already been proven.

WEMADE will provide full support to help Studio RASA raise the profile of Korean games in the North American and European markets.”

Kwan-ho Park, CEO of WEMADE

WEMADE continues to strengthen its global presence and contribute to the growth of Korea’s gaming ecosystem through strategic investments in promising developers such as SHIFT UP, LIONHEART STUDIO, and MADNGINE. With this latest investment, WEMADE further expands its global console IP portfolio and reinforces its presence in the international gaming market.
