Digital Bros, the parent company of 505 Games, announced that it had acquired the D3 Go for an undisclosed sum. With the acquisition, Digital Bros both got one step closer to their goals for F2P games and became the owner of the Puzzle Quest series.
Digital Bros has been taking steps to expand its operations in the F2P gaming space for some time now. 505 Games bought Puzzle Quest developer Infinity Plus Two last year, and D3 Go is the publisher of Puzzle Quest. Infinity Plus Two and D3 Go are now back together under the same roof. The important games of the Puzzle Quest series are now included in the 505 Games’ F2P game portfolio.
Italy-based 505 Games, a subsidiary of Digital Bros, was founded in 2006. The company has published many famous games since day one. The portfolio of 505 Games includes many well-known games such as Control, Death Stranding, Terraria and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.
Clive Robert, Head of F2P at 505 Games, said in a statement:
“D3 Go has done a brilliant job bringing some of the biggest Puzzle Quest titles to market, and it was a natural fit for us to welcome them into the 505 Games family, building on our library of owned IP.”
505 Games will continue to invest in D3 Go’s current games. Details of the deal were not disclosed, but it is anticipated that there will be no change in D3 Go’s current staffing.
