Founded in the USA in 2020 by Turkish entrepreneur Deniz Gezgin, 5X5 Gaming announced that it had raised $1.7 million from its seed funding round. 5X5 Gaming develops NFT games that players from different cultures can enjoy playing.

The funding round was led by Com2uS, Harmony, The Sandbox, and YGG. Participants in the round included investors such as Dialectic Capital, Lucid Blue Ventures, Ed Lu, Michael Vorhaus, and Andrew Chan.

As the name suggests, 5X5 Gaming develops NFT games focused on competitive and social experiences. With $1.7 million from the seed funding round, they will focus on developing such core games.

The company’s ability to produce multicultural games stems from the team’s multicultural members. Headquartered in San Francisco, the company has employees from Los Angeles, Chicago, Mexico, Vietnam, India, and Turkey.

It has been announced that Battle of Kingdoms, the company’s first game that appeals to many cultures, will be coming soon. In the game, we will see NFT characters and historical warrior characters from various cultures -for example, janissaries-. For historical consistency, the company also consults with historians and experts.
