Epic Games recently announced that it is incubating a new studio in Poland. This new studio will focus on producing original and independent products in graphics and game development.
A small team will lead work on the studio joined Epic from Plastic. The Epic Games publishing team will also be closely involved with the products of the newly established studio. Epic Games Studio Director Michal Staniszewski makes the following statement on the subject:
“Our team is incredibly proud to spearhead the growth of Epic in Poland. Poland is a growing hub for the top engineering talent that we need to create amazing new gaming experiences for players around the world.”
Epic Games Head of Publishing, Hector Sanchez, added:
“For over twenty years, the team from Plastic has been developing some of the most ambitious and future facing projects in the Demoscene. They are an incredible group of talent who have created genre-defining experiences that sit on the bleeding edge of technological advances, pushing hardware to the limits in a beautifully artistic way. We couldn’t be more excited to have them on our team and support their growth at Epic.”
Epic Games also said that they are expanding their work in the region and are waiting for talents to work with them.
