Activision Blizzard has shared representation data for 2022

The company identified its improvements and indicated the goal to become the most welcoming, inclusive company in the industry.

Activision Blizzard announced the release of its 2022 representation data, revealing some growing numbers for gender and ethnic diversity. The company stated that the numbers are only a summary and that Business Units constantly go through detailed and relevant data.

The chart was separated into five sections: Activision-Blizzard-King (ABK) combined, Activision-Blizzard (AB) Corporate, Activision Publishing, Blizzard, and King. Compared to 2021 data, the number of women and non-binary individuals has increased by 2% (ABK), 1% (AB), 3% (Activision), 3% (Blizzard), and 1% (King), respectively.

The company stated that since last year, it’s “Committed to increasing the number of women and non-binary employees by fifty percent over the next five years.” The numbers in all sections have grown, so it’s safe to say that Activision Blizzard is on target for the time being.

A comparison for Under-represented Ethnic Groups (UTGs) has also been made between last year and 2022, again showing a rise in percentages in all sections of the company. ABK numbers increased by 2%, AB by 1%, Activision by 5%, Blizzard by 2%, and King by 1%.

Activision Blizzard said it will continue sharing various data on representation regularly. The company has seen lots of action in the past month, as it showed a revenue decrease in its Q3 2022 financial report. In more recent news, about two weeks ago, Blizzard announced it will not renew licensing deals with NetEase because of financial disagreements.
