Amber announces opening a new office in Poland

Founded in 2013, game development and studio services agency Amber announced it opened a new office in Warsaw, Poland. With the new studio, the company wants to expand its game portfolio and focus specifically on AA and AAA games.

Amber also has offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Bucharest, Botoşani, Guadalajara, Montreal and Kiev. The office in Warsaw will start to serve as the 8th studio within Amber. Greg Ciach will be the general manager of the studio.

Greg Ciac has significant experience in the game industry. Ciac previously served as CEO of indie game developer studio PolyAmorous. He also worked as Platige Image Business Development Manager and as a Narrative Designer at Tequila Games.

On the matter, Ciac said:

“I’m certain we can bring a breath of fresh air to the Polish AA/AAA game dev scene as we set out to take advantage of the latest industry trends and become a major player while doing so.”

Amber reported that it generated $30.5 million in revenue for 2021. This shows that the company has grown significantly at 56% compared to 2020. The company wants to capitalize on this growth and expand its team. The office in Warsaw appears to be the first in a series of expansions.
