AppLovin buys Game of War developer Machine Zone

Today, the high-growth mobile games company AppLovin announced that it is acquiring mobile game studio Machine Zone. So far the company has launched a huge catalog when it expanded to publishing in 2018 with Lion Studios. It also invested in different studios such as PeopleFun, Firecraft Studios, MagicAnt, Belka Games, Clipwire Games, Geewa, and Redemption Games. AppLovin wants to expand more, therefore, the company announced that it’s acquiring Machine Zone. MZ has released many hit games like Mobile Strike, Game of War: Fire Age, and FF XV: A New Empire.

AppLovin aims to offer both top game franchises and tech to players

According to a press release on AppLovin’s official website. The company aims to offer the best games possible for players and developers worldwide. This will be achieved by combining Machine Zone’s expertise and unmatched success in core games with AppLovin’s leading marketing platform. The collaboration will begin now and will eventually include AppLovin moving its headquarters a mile away to the Machine Zone office in Palo Alto. Adam Forugh, AppLovin’s CEO said the following:

Together we will continue our mission to grow the mobile gaming ecosystem — providing players with more interactive, fun games and supporting game developers by finding new and innovative tools to help them succeed.
