Asmodee Digital rebrands to Twin Sails, announces two new games

The French game publisher’s new name will be Twin Sails Interactive.

Asmodee Digital rebrands itself as Twin Sails Interactive. This decision came sometime after the company’s acquisition by the Embracer Group for €2.75 billion. The firm began releasing digital versions of its board games in 2017 and has collaborated with big franchises such as Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones. Last year.

Along with its new name, Twin Sails Interactive will try to explore other ventures in the game industry. The new direction is to combine indie and AA titles on premium platforms. The former COO of Asmodee Digital, Nicolas Godement, will mantle the Managing Director role post-rebranding.

The company has set its goals of becoming “a leading game publisher by developing high quality, creative titles with an amazing team of passionate professionals in a work environment that’s safe and fun.”

The official announcement for rebranding comes with these words:

“Asmodee Digital becomes Twin Sails Interactive, and we’re ready to start a new journey! We cannot wait to serve up great games & create brilliant news, so let’s explore dark & dangerous lands, fire up our passion, and dream like never before.”

After donning its new name, Twin Sails announced two new titles. Amberial Dreams will be a 2D platformer with an evolutive, physics-based concept.

Studio Nul Games will develop the second upcoming game called News Tower. The title will focus on the players’ organizational skills and will be a management-simulation game. Both games will be accessible on Steam.
