Sky Mavis, the creator of Axie Infinity, the number one NFT project by all-time NFT trading volume (4.2B), today announced the launch of Axie Infinity: Origins on the Apple App Store, marking a significant step toward making Axie Infinity accessible to all. Axie Infinity: Origins will first be available to Apple users in key LATAM and Asia countries, including Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Venezuela, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

With over 1.5 million global installs across all platforms, Axie Infinity: Origins is a card-based strategy game where players collect, own, and use an infinite variety of creatures called axies to battle. Players can take down evil chimeras in Adventure Mode or challenge other players in the Arena to reach the top of the leaderboard. Sky Mavis launched Axie Infinity Origins, which enables players to enjoy the game with free non-NFT starter Axies, in order to improve accessibility and remove points of friction for players to be able to join the Axie Infinity universe. Sky Mavis is collaborating closely with Google and Apple to bring feature parity to mobile users, which will enable the company to achieve its vision of fostering a player-owned digital nation.
Additionally, Sky Mavis has announced the Mavis Market, a curated marketplace where users can buy, sell, and showcase NFTs powered by Ronin, Sky Mavis’ proprietary blockchain. Starting on May 17th, select collectibles from third-party Game or Dapps developers who deploy on Ronin will be available on the Mavis Market for purchase. With the Mavis Marketplace, Sky Mavis is building upon the success of Axie Infinity and its marketplace to enable third-party games to add key features that enhance ownership, interoperability, and future cross-game integration.
