The Sandbox announced it has partnered with BAYZ for its metaverse network to be established in Brazil. The Sandbox and BAYZ will work together to bring Brazilian brands to the metaverse.
The Sandbox has not yet reached the entertainment culture in Latin America. The company is aware of this and will benefit from BAYZ’s support in this regard. São Paulo-based BAYZ is the publisher of famous Web3 games such as MetaSoccer, Thetan Arena, and Genopets. In addition, with the effect of the region’s economic situation, there is a great interest in play-to-earn games. For these reasons, BAYZ’s regional awareness is much more than The Sandbox.
As it is known, The Sandbox is a subsidiary of Animoca Brands. Animoca Brands has been aggressively working and investing in Web3 for a while. The Sandbox’s expansion policy aligns with Animoca Brands’ goals. Also, recently, The Sandbox collaborated with Time for a similar purpose.
Sebastien Borget, Co-Founder and COO of The Sandbox, says:
“Brazil has a rich and vibrant entertainment culture that we want to bring into The Sandbox to connect more users from South and Latin America. We succeed as a global platform by incorporating individual cultures. We’re happy to have BAYZ as a strong local partner to help us include Brazil’s culture and diversity into the metaverse.”
João Borges, Co-Founder of BAYZ, adds:
“We are thrilled to be the partnership The Sandbox has made in Brazil to expand its ecosystem in a new region. As experts in the marketplace, we look forward to working together to connect with the ever-growing community and creating regional strategic partnerships to add to The Sandbox’s already impressive collection.”
As part of the partnership, The Sandbox will carry out its regional activities through a team hired from BAYZ. This team will take on responsibilities such as enriching metaverse content, incorporating brands, and bringing The Sandbox to a wider audience.
