Genesis League Sports (GLS), the blockchain sports gaming platform, has announced the launch of its own tokenomics system. The company stated that token staking, in-game currency integration of other platforms, and a stablecoin launch will be included in the system.

With the new tokenomics ecosystem underway, GLS will now turn focus on launching its soccer-based card strategy game Genesis League Goals. The title is planned to come out in 2023, although an exact launch date is currently unavailable.

CEO of GLS, Jesse Reich, shared thoughts and feelings about the recent developments:

“We are truly cutting a path for the new era of sports gaming by building Genesis League Sports on Web3 in order to enhance the gamer experience. We are intentional and thoughtful in our approach to our tokenomics system, and we are always thinking of the game’s longevity and our professionalism as a company navigating the new frontier of blockchain technology. This launch will be a great next step for our GLS community.”

Genesis League Sports stated that the native $GLX token and the Genesis League Game Time token ($GLGT) are both currently available, as the latter can be used to participate in events or drops on the platform.

Reportedly, $GLX token burning and stablecoin minting will commence on November 11. The stablecoin will also act as an in-game currency for Genesis League Goals. Card packs for the title are also available on the game’s official website.
